Part I: Contact Solo Principles
An exploration of essential Contact principles in our own body
In Contact Improvisation we say that our first and foremost dance partner is the floor. Luckily, the floor will never leave - not even in in times of Corona. So, let’s play!
We will take the chance to work on our dance with gravity, space, our own flow of movement and weight – and the dance with each other, connecting through our extended senses.
….Finding awareness of our centre and establishing a grouded self-contact is the basis on which a smooth and flowing duo/trio dance can build. There is a whole universe to explore.
Some Principles we will explore:
- Flow of weight
- Spirals in the body and in movement
- Organisation of the body on the floor, in locomotion and changing levels
- Ease and fluidity in movement, working with Fascia and principles from the Axis Syllabus
- Drawing from Steve Paxton’s «Material for the Spine»
Part II: Authentic Movement Ressources
Accessing personal creativity through embodied experience
Offering a framework for bodily experience, Authentic Movement allow to Divie into the universe of our own creativity; using embodies experience as the source of authentic expression. The fact of being witnessed augments the presence, the «thickness» oft he spacetime, enables us to dive deep into our imagination and authentic movement ressources.
Attending both parts allows for a deep journey into the body. Yet, they can also be attended seperately - Please specify in your registration.
