Introductory Workshop Metalworking
Participants are introduced to the basic principles of metalworking and to the different types of metal working tools and machines at Dynamos' metal workshop. The aim of the course is to prepare the participants for a (more or less) independent use of the workshop for his or her future personal projects.
The main focus of the course is the use of the MAG welding machines. Further machines addressed in the course are:
The plate shear, edging machine, roll bending machine, plasma cutter, belt grinder, belt saw, table drill, angle grinder etc.
During most courses, the last two hours are reserved for the participants to work under supervision on their own personal projects. Think in advance on what you would like to make - a table frame, a storage rack, a lamp, a metal sculpture or remodifying a bicycle. Bring your sketches - in most cases the welding exercises can be adjusted to fit your own projects!
