Loophole (CH)
loophole are a trio of musicians with their finger on the pulse. Over the years of intensive collaboration and tinkering, the three have found their very own way of making and producing music - and have developed an original style in the process. The fact that Dave, Michel and Claude form the core of the project, but are constantly surrounded by new musicians, means that the musical cosmos of the project is constantly growing and is shaped and formed by everyone involved. Their debut album Royal Sessions, which was recorded in 2020 during the lockdown at the Kulturlokal Royal in Baden, was a resounding success and since its release in October 2021 has achieved various placements in renowned jazz playlists and more than 500,000 plays on Spotify alone. For their latest releases with the tracks UUUUH and No Need, they were able to get James Gruntz and Junes on board for features - relaxation guaranteed!

Claude Stucki - Guitar
Michel Spahr - Bass
David Krähenbühl - Drums
Mathieu Friz - Keys

Vertaal (UK)
A shared love of groove, nu-jazz and broken beat, bonded drummer Ajit Gill and keyboard player Theo Howarth (aka Alijaa) when they met as teens in their hometown in Hertfordshire. The resulting burst of shared musical ideas traversing spiritual nu-jazz, Dilla-inspired hip-hop and neo-soul, gave birth to Vertaal, the duo developing a passion for the freedom and raw expression of the music. Vertaal have been a notable presence in London since 2018. Tipped as “ones to watch” by Jazz Re:freshed in 2019, and for 2021 by BBC Introducing, their live shows feature a revolving cast of guest musicians, making each show a unique event with ever-differing interpretations of their songs. They have supported the likes of Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Richard Spaven, Reuben James, Pete Ray Biggin (Level 42) and count noted multi-instrumentalist parthenope and virtuoso bassists Harry Pearce (Kinzan) and Severin Bruhin (Savri) amongst their regular contributors. Their 2021 debut double LP “Paradigm Shifting” , nominated by Jazz Revelations for LP of the year, sold out it’s first pressing on the day of release.
