Introductory course in metalworking. For our english speaking friends!
The participants are introduced to the basics of metalworking. The main aim of the course is to show the participants the possibilities of the machines in Dynamo's metal workshop, so that after the course they can use the workshop relatively independently for personal projects.
The main focus of the course is dealing with MIG / MAG welding systems. Other machines in the course program are;
The sheet metal guillotine shears, the sheet metal bending machine, the sheet metal rounding machine, the plasma cutter, the belt grinder, the band saw, the drill press, the angle grinder.
Most of the time, you still have the opportunity to work on a personal project with supervision in the last two hours of the course. Think in advance what you would like to do; The base of a table, a shelf or a lamp, the conversion of a bicycle, a metal sculpture, etc. Bring sketches; Often the welding exercises can be adapted to your project!
Where: In Dynamo's metal workshop; (In front of the river, Wasserwerkstrasse 21, CH-8006 in Zurich.) Most of the course takes place outdoors, so dress warmly when it's cold outside!
When: Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00
How much: Up to 28 you pay CHF 120, - from 28 you pay CHF 180 for the course. Payment is only possible in cash on the day of the course on site. No card payments!
Important: Protective clothing (overalls, gloves, hearing protection, protective goggles) is organized by the course. All you have to do is bring good, sturdy, closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair; tie together well.
Also important: Cancellations 48 hours before the course are free of charge. If this deadline is not met, an amount of 80 Swiss francs will be due. Please let us know as early as possible if you are unable to come so that another person has the chance of a place in the coveted course. Thanks

This course is specifically thought for english speaking people which can't attend the regular ones due lack of german.
