Masked Theater

A space dedicated to self-discovery through theater, exploring the masks that inhabit us. A journey that starts with the basics of physical theater and extends to commedia dell'arte, learning how to use technique, energy, and presence on stage.

Programm:

• archetypes
• the 9 main masks

We will use the archetypes hidden behind the masks.
We will analyse the bodies and characteristics of the nine main masks of the commedia dell'arte: Zanni, Arlecchino, Colombina, Brighella, Pulcinella, Pantalone, Dottore, Capitano and Strega.
We will look at the relationships between the characters.

Who am I?

Good question. But in a nutshell, I am Filippo Sabarino, born in 1994, a graduate of the Philip Radice Physical Theatre School, after completing the intensive PAUT course with a total of 4,000 hours in performing arts such as theatre acting, theatre directing, dramaturgy, mime, improvisation, theatrical acrobatics, stage combat, dance theatre, comedy writing, and more.

What to bring:

• Comfortable clothing (preferably white or black tracksuits)
• a notebook for taking notes
• a desire to have fun and get involved.
