Lecture: Landscape photography. Working with landscape and light
Beschreibung
This 1.5-hour lecture covers the fundamentals of landscape photography, including composition, light, camera settings, and practical strategies for working outdoors. It is designed for beginners, enthusiasts, and professional photographers who want to refine their approach, strengthen visual intention, and work more confidently with real-world conditions. Lecture with examples from Anna's personal exhibition "Dreaming about You and Mountains".
The exhibition explores the connection between people and nature. You can see photographs, textiles and ceramic objects. A key source of inspiration is the fragility of the environment and human relationships, the beauty of mountain landscapes and sculptural approach to the human body. The artistic works are presented alongside the art–science collaboration Blue-Green Biodiversity, developed with the Swiss Federal Institutes Eawag and WSL.
«I use bright acrylic paints on my digital and analogue photographs to convey emotions and symbols. The amorphic and abstract painted forms I use in images depict the coexistence of different processes and parts of the world together in one. It's natural for our world to change and glaciers to become water again, but we are responsible now for this rapid change. And would there be a place for us in this newly melted and evaporated world?».
Anna Korbut is a visual artist from Ukraine based in Switzerland, working with photography and mixed media. The artist will be present during the exhibition and available for discussions in English, German, Polish, and Ukrainian. Artworks will be available for purchase.
